    • Massage therapy is a hands-on approach that affects all the systems of the body, helping to relax muscles. When the muscles are loose and circulation is efficient, there is a reduction in pain and a decreased chance of injury or dysfunction, resulting in better health.

    • Massage therapists educate patients about proper posture and harmful repetitive strain patterns. Remedial exercises are suggested to assist in the prevention and treatment of certain conditions

    • Massage therapy is therapeutic by nature, optimizing health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous, and circulatory systems.

    • The foundation of massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, connective tissues, tendons, ligaments, and joints.

    • These manipulations help to alleviate pain, assist injury recovery, increase mobility, and promote relaxation. It is these treatments that are utilized to counteract the pressures of daily life that tend to wear down both the body and mind.

    • Massage therapy has a positive effect on the body’s natural healing

    • If your life is disrupted due to back pain, neck pain, headaches, sprains or strains, or another problem involving your muscles, joints, and nervous system, registered massage therapist care can help you feel like yourself again.

    • Injuries to the spine can happen at any stage of life and for various reasons including car crashes, workplace incidents, and sports activities. Even simple everyday tasks such as going for a walk or washing the dishes have the potential to cause pain or discomfort that many of us just decide to live with. Sometimes these aches and pains even prevent us from working or doing the things we love.

    • On your first visit to an RMT, it is wise to arrive at least 10 to 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. We do require all new clients to complete a detailed medical history form.

    • Once you’ve provided the details of your medical history, an RMT will then escort you to a treatment room to discuss the details and the issues you would like to address through massage therapy. After they are clear on what your needs are, the RMT will then leave the room so you can undress. It is recommended that you undress to your underwear. But if you are uncomfortable doing so, you can keep on some of your clothing, or you can remain fully dressed. If you wish to remain clothed, ensure you wear loose-fitting clothing that will not restrict your body during treatment. When you’ve undressed to your level of comfort, lie on the padded massage table and cover yourself with the linens provided while you wait for the RMT to return.

    • After your RMT returns, your treatment begins. The massage table will be heated, and the settings can be adjusted to your liking - if the table is too hot or not warm enough, let your therapist know. Based on the reason for your visit, the RMT will use massage therapy techniques tailored to your needs. It is very important to communicate if you feel that you want more or less pressure from your therapist - while some areas are more uncomfortable than others to be worked on, the session should always be to your comfort level.

  • Swedish Massage

    A Swedish massage is a form of massage therapy that focuses on the entire body. This type of massage is excellent for those who are looking to relax or those with minor pain.

    Deep tissue massage

    Those with chronic muscle pain and tightness may benefit from deep tissue massage therapy as it targets the deepest layers of the muscles and connective tissues to relieve tension.

    Sports massage

    If you have suffered injuries due to sporting activities or any other actions that involve the repetitive use of specific muscles, sports massage therapy might help to alleviate your pain and discomfort.

    Trigger point massage

    If you have muscle tightness in one part of your body, causing pain in other areas, trigger point massage therapy may be an effective treatment option.
